POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacist provides drug information and assists physicians and hospice personnel in providing appropriate drug therapy for hospice patients. Compounds, prepares, and dispenses medicines and preparations. Oversees medications prepared by pharmacy technicians.

As an active team member, you will have the opportunity to practice your pharmacy skills in a supportive, cutting-edge environment. You will utilize your skills, education, and training to play a large part in the initial build, start up and high volume growth of our brand new, state-of-the-art pharmacy. Additionally, this position will allow you to interact with caregivers, physicians, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals with ample opportunity for professional growth.

The ideal candidate must:

• have a B.S. or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy;
• be licensed in the state of New Jersey or be eligible for licensure reciprocation;
• be authorized to work in the United States;
• have experience in palliative care and pain management; 
• be technologically savvy, computer literate, and experienced in Microsoft Office Suite 2000, Internet research; and
• 2-3 years of hospice or hospital pharmacy experience is preferred
