While exhibiting at the 2011 Midwest Care Alliance in November, Enclara Health was happy to be visited by a very special guest, Madigan. Madigan is a rescue dog that works as a "pet therapist" for a company called Canine Comfort, located in Neenah, Wisconsin. Canine Comfort is led by Molly Johnson, who provides guidance to help hospices across the country set up their own pet therapy program. Pet Therapy can benefit patients and families during difficult times and with their owners visit hospitals, nursing homes, patients in their homes and even attend funerals.
Madigan stopped by the Enclara booth to introduce himself and Molly, then proceeded to sit on Enclara Health's Linda Megan's foot and snuggle. Madigan and his other colleagues travel across the country with Molly to promote the use of "special dogs" to provide comfort to people during difficult times.
