For urgent situations, which often arise due to a change in patient status, an emergency or Enclara Standard Carekit is included in our Mail Order Model and sent to every home based patient.
Our Neighborhood Connection program offers the peace of mind to locate the sometimes hard to find medications. This program has been proven to eliminate the time consuming and often frustrating search for necessary drugs.
The program was built from industry knowledge about what is important to your nurses in the field. Our phone system allows for direct connection to a pharmacist, customer service or finance department without the distraction of a preliminary discussion or waiting for a call back.
Our formulary MAPs include both evidenced and experienced based medicine, with over 50 symptoms and conditions relating to the patient’s terminal diagnosis. Our pharmacists call prescribers, who order non-formulary medications to discuss the in-formulary equivalents or medication protocols. This service saves on non-formulary costs and leaves the money for those situations which your management team proactively approves.
To ensure timely delivery of CII medications Enclara has a devoted “narcotics team” whose primary responsibility is to obtain the signed scripts so that medications can be delivered next day. This process allows Enclara to provide medications in a timely way.

Together, we review atypical or higher cost drug utilization and set goals for improvement.

Our pharmacy models allow for interface capabilities through HL7, as well as the more preferred approach, direct to the hospice software (outside of HL7). Our goal is to seek the most cost effective way to share information and provide both a uni-directional and bi-directional system. There is no cost incurred in a data share relationship between Enclara and the hospice however, we cannot guarantee that that there will not be charges incurred from your software vendor.
